In 2024, renowned artist Cody Tarantino teamed up with Uni-ball to star in and help create a captivating commercial for their popular Posca marker line. Filmed in the vibrant heart of Mexico City, the project marked a significant collaboration that blended Tarantino’s distinctive artistic vision with the dynamic energy of one of the world’s most celebrated art supplies.
The commercial was filmed inside Diego Rivera’s historic home in Mexico City, a location rich with cultural significance that deepened the connection between creativity, heritage, and artistic expression. One of Rivera’s original home studios was transformed into a creative space inspired by Cody Tarantino, blending Rivera’s legacy with Tarantino’s unique vision. For Tarantino, this project held deep personal meaning, as his firsthand experience of Rivera’s iconic Detroit Industry Murals had inspired a profound respect for the power of public art to tell stories and drive social change.
